Best: Baltimore Ravens – Ray Lewis
Not only is Ray Lewis the greatest Raven of all-time but he is one of the greatest defensive players in the league’s history. Lewis joined the Ravens during their inaugural season in 1996. During his time in the middle of the Ravens defense, he won two Super Bowl’s was named to 13 Pro Bowl’s and was named to an All-Pro team 10 times. Lewis was a great player, but an even better leader. He was known for his fiery speeches in the huddle, as well as his trademark pregame introduction dances.
Worst: Baltimore Ravens – Kyle Boller
Despite having one of the all-time great defenses, the Ravens of the early 2000s had a rotating list of starting quarterbacks that never lived up to the quality of the defense. In 2003, the Ravens drafted Kyle Boller with their first-round pick to finally get their franchise quarterback. It wasn’t Boller. He played 5 seasons in Baltimore and managed to play a full season just once. He managed to throw for more than 2,000 yards only once and retired with a career passer rating of just 69.5.
