Best: San Francisco 49ers – Jerry Rice
It would be hard to find someone who doesn’t think Jerry Rice is the greatest wide receiver of all-time. Rice combined his incredible natural gifts of size, speed, and grace, with some of the softest hands you’ll ever see in the NFL. It helped that Rice was catching passes from two of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time, but it was certainly a mutually beneficial relationship for all parties involved. Rice still holds 13 NFL receiving records.
Worst: San Francisco 49ers – Giovanni Carmazzi
Incredibly, the quarterback from Hofstra didn’t work out in the NFL. The 49ers took Carmazzi in the third round of the 2000 NFL Draft, the same draft in which fellow Cali native Tom Brady was drafted 3 rounds later. Carmazzi was on the roster for two years and never saw the field. What a waste of a pick.
