Are you looking for award-winning, smartly-written satire of true crime documentaries? Well then look no further than American Vandal. This show follows the “investigations” of a high school student who has been accused of painting, well, phallic symbols on 27 cars at his high school. It’s not exactly as serious as season 1 of the podcast Serial, but who wants something that heavy right now anyway?

It’s a lighthearted spoof that will keep you entertained for a little while. Appendage jokes aside, American Vandal is smart and well written. It picked up a Peabody Award in 2017 for its clever writing a satire.
