17. McLane Stadium, Baylor University
Popular Mechanics: “Located on the banks of the Brazos River in downtown Waco and on the edge of Baylor’s campus, this 2014-opened venue moved football on campus in a modern structure with 39 suites, 74 loge boxes, 1,200 outdoor club seats and a shade canopy (a big deal in the heart of Texas).”
Our Take: One of the newer stadiums on this list, Baylor’s McLane stadium provides beautiful views on and off the field, overlooking the Brazos River. Fortunately for Bear’s fans, visiting teams will be the only one’s feeling the heat thanks to the shade canopy installed to keep fans cool in the Texas heat. With a seating capacity of just 45,000, the closed end of McLane Stadium can even feel a bit cozy.
