3. University of Texas at San Antonio
What fans say: One Google review summed up an trip to The Alamodome this way, “The place smells like a curious combination of urine, sweat socks, fast food, desperation and mildew.” This reviewer went on to say that it’s “either cold and damp, or hot and sweaty…Just an all around miserable place.” We’ll pass.
What we say: Another doomed dome stadium on our list. This stadium was once the crown jewel of San Antonio sports, but it quickly became so disappointing that the NBA’s Spurs left after just 10 years. Now, UTSA plays in the 64,000-seat arena to crowds that average about 15,000 over the last 5 years. Talk about a lack of atmosphere.
