Together in Phoenix for three and a half seasons, Steve Nash, Amar’e Stoudemire and Shawn Marion reached two Western Conference Finals. The Suns just couldn’t get past the Spurs or Mavs, despite being one of the NBA’s best teams during the period. Not only were the trio one of the NBA’s best, but the team was extremely exciting. Nash pulled the offensive strings while Stoudemire and Marion showcased All-Star talent, and highlight reel dunks. In February 2008, the Suns traded away Marion, ending the trio. In the process, Phoenix acquired Shaquille O’Neal. The move didn’t work out for Phoenix, who lost in the playoffs in the first round and missed the postseason entirely in 2008-09.
