Utah’s best seasons in NBA history coincided with Karl Malone, John Stockton and Jeff Hornacek’s time together. The trio led the Jazz to back-to-back NBA Finals. Unfortunately, the team lost both years to the Chicago Bulls – perhaps the best NBA team of all-time. The Jazz never missed the playoffs with the three in the lineup. Malone was the most notable player of the three, and in 1996-97, won the NBA MVP award. He duplicated the feat in 1998-99. Only one season during the trio’s reign saw the team win fewer than 55 games. The team’s 37-win 1998-99 season was only due to the NBA lockout. A full season, and the Jazz could have raked up another 55-plus win total.
