6. Onitsuka Tiger Corsair (1969)
This is the shoe that got Phil Night and Bill Bowerman into the shoe game. The two geniuses modified this design, rebranded it and called it the Nike Cortez. And with that, the company was off and running, pardon the pun.
Seriously though, look back at the Nike Cortez. It’s the same shoe, just a little bit different. The Tiger’s are still popular today, especially with the crowd that wants to show they were in from the beginning. You know the type. They already know what the next big food craze is.
