You want to talk about a game-changer, try putting an actual air pump in the shoe to make sure they have the highest levels of support possible. That’s what Reebok did with the Pump. You remember the commercials, lace up the shoes and then give them a pump on the tongue. You were ready for anything.
This innovation got copycats galore, but Reebok purposefully priced their shoes 50% higher than the market for high-end sneakers. If you want a cheap knock-off go to a competitor. If you want the best, go to Reebok.
