21. Nike Air Max 120
The first thing you’re thinking is that these are the Air Max’s Spider-Man would wear if he wore shoes. The spider web pattern is the unquestionable design standout of these shoes, but some other things are going on here.
The heel features a full 360-degree Air Max unit on the heel. The shoes were also the first Nike shoe to use color sublimation, which is a fancy industry term for that color gradient you see on the upper. So these shoes are more Tom Holland Spider-Man, rather than Tobey Maguire Spider-Man. That is to say, good.
20. Nike LeBron 9
These LeBron’s focused on the “triple threat” of LeBron’s hoop game. With that in mind, these shoes focus on speed, agility, and force. Designer Jason Patrie utilized both Flywire and Hyperfuse technologies on this shoe. That was the first time anyone at Nike had done that.
These shoes also include a 180-degree Air Max heel. All of these technologies combined mean you will finally be able to harness your inner LeBron. Or at least that’s what Nike would like you to think–that LeBron is the GOAT.
19. Nike Air Max 96
The Air Max 96 has become one of the most sought-after reproductions in recent years. It’s easy to see why. They have an incredible design and super cool tech. Just look at the wave pattern, sleek and timeless.
The coolest thing about these 96’s though? They set the air pressure to different levels based on where the pocket is. That level of attention to detail is impressive. Those designers at Nike think of everything.
