18. RB Spencer Ware Drafted By: Seattle Seahawks (2013)
Spencer Ware is one of a handful of former LSU backs plying his trade in the NFL. Like Jeremy Hill and Stevan Ridley before him and Derrius Guice still to come, Ware was part of a committee with the Tigers and went on to have a few successful NFL seasons as a downhill runner. Ware’s career best season at LSU was 707 rushing yards. He beat that with 921 yards in 2016 with the Kansas City Chiefs, going over 1300 yards combined with 5 TDs in his best season as a pro.
Ware won a Super Bowl ring his rookie season in Seattle, but he appeared in only two games and recorded just three carries. He got his chance a few years later as an injury replacement for Jamaal Charles in Kansas City, but Ware injured his own knee and missed what was supposed to be a breakout season in 2017, losing his job to Kareem Hunt. He is currently a free agent at the time of this post.
