Trai Turner surprised scouts by declaring for the NFL Draft a year earlier than expected, despite recording 115 pancake blocks in two seasons. Though he may have been a first round pick a year later, the Panthers nabbed Turner in the third round of the 2014 draft. They’re certainly glad that they did.

Turner stepped into a shaky offensive line and started over half of his rookie season without allowing a sack, and he’s started every game since when healthy. Trai Turner made his first Pro Bowl in 2015 and has represented the NFC at right guard four consecutive seasons. Turner helped lead the Panthers to the Super Bowl in 2016, but Carolina fell to the Broncos.
