15. John Glenn Columbus International Airport (Worst)
The site for John Glenn International was selected by one of the United States’ most famous aviators, Charles Lindbergh, as the eastern air terminus for the Transcontinental Air Transport, which was an early 1900’s idea for how to get from Los Angeles to New York City via both plane and train. These days the airport is the second busiest in Ohio.
This reviewer had unpleasant things to say about the airport, saying “I have never experienced a slower process for support services than at this airport, including airports in many developing countries, and this is far and away the worst. Not sure if it’s the layout of the airport or sheer laziness of the workers, but it’s horrific.”
14. Dallas Love Field Airport (Worst)
Dallas Love Field Airport has a lovely name, but it’s essentially the red-headed stepchild of Dallas airports since Dallas/Fort Worth opened in 1974. Southwest Airlines has its headquarters and operating base at Dallas Love, which gives you an indication of the kind of place it is.
One Google reviewer summed up the experience this way stating, “When you buy an airline ticket, there is an expectation that you will have access to services, food, etc at the airport. Dallas Love Field does not meet this expectation. You should deny this place your business, there’s a real airport nearby.” Ouch, not feeling the love?
