Austin-Bergstrom is the third busiest airport in Texas outside of Dallas/Fort Worth and Houston, which makes sense since Austin is the capital of the Lone Star State. It’s formerly Bergstrom Air Force Base, but the public airport merged with the military installation when the base closed in 1993.

One Yelp reviewer thought the airport was totally Austin saying, “It’s easy to navigate, and I love how they’ve infused Austin all over it, from Salt Lick to Amy’s Ice Cream. That’s an important factor in airports. This is your introduction to the city, they should reflect the culture. Good job Austin-Bergstrom.
