Reggie Bush – USC
If we’re being completely honest, the professional career of Reggie Bush couldn’t hold the proverbial candle to the college career he enjoyed in Los Angeles. The University of Southern California running back was one of the most dynamic runners in the history of college football, accumulating 38 total touchdowns from scrimmage (and four more touchdowns on special teams) in three years.
While everyone thought he was the no-brainer choice for the #1 overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft, he “fell” to the New Orleans Saints at #2 overall. Bush did play 11 years in the NFL, but in none of them did he ever run for more than 1,100 yards, and he never had more than six rushing touchdowns. For any other running back, he would’ve had a nice pro career. But not for the guy who is still considered one of the greatest college football players ever.
