Eric Clapton’s career is so long and prolific it’s impossible to mention every important detail. Rolling Stone named Clapton the second greatest Guitarist of all-time, so that’s an indication of his legacy. He’s best known for his songs, Layla, Tears in Heaven, and My Father’s Eyes.
As a reward for his incredible contributions to music, Clapton is the only person to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame three separate times: as a solo artist, and with the Yardbirds, and Cream. These days Clapton is married to Melia McEnery, who is 31 years his junior, and lives in Columbus, OH where his wife is from.
