There are multiple issues with Mohamed Bamba. For one, he could just as well be the next Hasheem Thabeet as he could be “Rudy Gobert with a jump shot,’ as some have called him. But let’s say it’s more likely he becomes the latter than the former. The biggest issue for Bamba at the University of Texas was the fact that he was on a team that had mediocre talent at guard. Guess what he’ll have in Orlando? Well-below mediocre talent at guard. There’s nothing in Orlando’s infrastructure or team culture that is conducive to developing a raw talent like Bamba the right way.
