30. Jamal Adams, Safety, NY Jets
Adams had a promising rookie season with the Jets in 2017 but took things to another level in 2018. He’s a complete safety who’s able to cover a lot of ground in the defensive backfield while also pushing into the box to stop the run when needed. Adams even held his own in coverage against Rob Gronkowski when the two were matched up against one another last season, which tells you everything you need to know about how valuable he is.
Last year, Adams made his first Pro Bowl. But it seems likely that trips to the Pro Bowl will become a yearly occurrence for him. There’s still a little room for him to grow, which just means that Adams has a chance to be better in 2019 than he was in 2018, as he continues to be one of the Jets’ most important players.
