Kyler Murray’s lone season as the starting quarterback of the University of Oklahoma was supposed to be something of a recreational, one-year sabbatical before he went and joined the ranks of professional baseball.

But the former top 10 pick in the MLB Draft (selected by the Oakland Athletics) had such a ridiculous season in 1998, accounting for over 5,400 yards of total offense and 54 total touchdowns, that he not only ended up winning the Heisman Trophy (surpassing former favorite Tua Tagovailoa from the University of Alabama), but also choosing to stick with football as his future professional sports career, instead of baseball.
