He might’ve fallen just short of the top spot on this list, but you can easily argue that the NFL hasn’t seen anyone play the quarterback with the intelligence, guile, and productivity of Peyton Manning. If it weren’t for a couple of shortcomings in the Super Bowl, and his inability to defeat a team that was considered his arch rival in the early 2000’s, Manning would have been a serious contender for #1 on this list.

But the man who broke Brett Favre’s record for career passing yards, and set an NFL record with 5,477 passing yards and 55 touchdown passes in 2013 is a first-ballot Hall of Famer just waiting to happen.
