When you think of NASCAR venues, you probably think of the grand Southern gems like Talladega, Daytona and Bristol. But do you usually think of Upstate New York? Probably not, and that’s a shame because Watkins Glen is home to one of the best tracks in the country.

The 2.45-mile road course brings the best out of NASCAR’s best. Bending and twisting near Niagara Falls, this track is just one of a couple road courses on the circuit and also one of it’s oldest. The track opened in 1956, well before the mid 90’s track-building boom.
