A two-time high school All-American and one of the most sought-after recruits in recent memory, people started whispering “the next Michael Jordan” when talking about Jerry Stackhouse. Though he only spent two seasons in Chapel Hill, Stackhouse was named the National Player of the Year by Sports Illustrated, and led the Tar Heels to the Final Four in 1995.
