After being inserted into North Carolina’s starting lineup approximately halfway through his freshman year, forward John Henson was named the ACC Defensive Player of the Year as both a sophomore and a junior, averaging at least 9.9 rebounds and 2.9 blocks per game in both seasons he played college hoops.

That led him to becoming the 14th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, taken by the Milwaukee Bucks. While Milwaukee did like Henson enough to award him a four-year, $45 million extension early on in his 4th year in the NBA, the truth is that in his first six seasons in Milwaukee, he averaged less than 8 points and 6 rebounds per game.
