Sadly, thanks to various injuries, the Seahawks parted ways with Alexander after just two more seasons, and he was out of the NFL by the end of 2008. Alexander has spent his post-playing days overseeing the Shaun Alexander foundation, which whose mission is to empower young men through education, athletics, character programs, and leadership training.
