Of the two Steve Smiths who played wide receiver in the NFL, this one is the younger of the two and the one with a less accomplished resume. Smith made inroads with the Giants during their Super Bowl season in 2008 before having a true breakout season in 2009. That year, Smith caught 108 passes for over 1,200 yards and seven touchdowns. He ended up playing in the Pro Bowl after Larry Fitzgerald dropped out. But that was as good as it got for Smith. He immediately went back to being an ancillary player for three more seasons before he retired.
