13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Original Pick: Tristan Wirfs
As I mentioned earlier, Tristan Wirfs is one hell of an athlete. With the other 3 offensive lineman already off the board by the time the Bucs were on the clock, this was an easy selection for the Bucs. After acquiring Tom Brady, protecting him was the teams #1 priority.
Tristan Wirfs rookie season really could not have gone any better. Wirfs allowed just 3 penalties and only 1 sack on the entire season in route to winning a Super Bowl with Tampa. In a re-draft, Wirfs is the first tackle off the board.
New Pick: Andrew Thomas
With all the other offensive lineman gone by this point, the Bucs snag Andrew Thomas. We have already discussed Thomas’ up and down year, but with his struggles also came some impressive play.
The Giants coaching staff certainly has a ton of hope that Thomas can put it all together next season. He has the size, strength, and athleticism, he just needs to get more consistent.
