In the spring of 2003, Detroit Lions’ CEO Matt Millen envisioned Joey Harrington and Charles Rogers as the next dominant QB-WR duo in the NFL. Millen’s Lions took Rogers with the #2 pick in the NFL Draft in 2003, a year after picking Harrington. But like Harrington, Rogers turned out to be a colossal bust who simply wasn’t ready to play in the NFL (and couldn’t stay healthy, either).

Could Have Drafted: Andre Johnson
Sadly, the Lions passed on another receiver — Andre Johnson from the University of Miami — to take Rogers. Over his 14 years in the NFL, Johnson was named to five All-Pro teams and seven Pro Bowls, while leading the NFL in receiving yards twice.
