The Perks of Being a Wallflower is one of the most influential pieces of coming-of-age literature over the last 30 years, so it’s no wonder that it was made into a feature-length film. The film stars Logan Lerman, Emma Watson, and Ezra Miller as teenagers trying to make it through high school.

The main character, played by Lerman, writes to an unnamed friend chronicling his trials, tribulations, and triumphs. As the film progresses you begin to discover that Charlie is struggling with some undiagnosed post-traumatic stress. It’s a great film and an even better book.
