Tony Delk went from an All-SEC (2nd team) guard in his sophomore year to a first-team All-American and All-SEC player by his senior year. During the latter season, he helped Rick Pitino and the University of Kentucky Wildcats win the National Championship, as he was named the most outstanding player in the Final Four during that run. Delk was a marginal but effective player in the NBA, employed by seven teams in 10 seasons, and eventually ended his career playing in Greece. He then started coaching as an assistant at Kentucky, before taking an assistant coaching position at New Mexico State University.
