There’s something to be said when legendary Michigan State University basketball head coach Tom Izzo, a man who’s put his players in football pads to increase the physicality of his team’s practices, called Draymond Green the “perfect Spartan.” Green ended up falling into the second round of the 2012 NBA Draft because teams thought he was too much of a “tweener,” but they didn’t realize his combination of basketball IQ and strength gives him the ability to defend all five positions on the court.
