We’ll never know just how great Grant Hill’s NBA career could have been, if it weren’t for the catastrophically mismanaged foot injury that destroyed most of his prime. Widely considered to be one of the best all-around players in the game, there was virtually no flaw in Grant Hill’s game. But the combination of microfracture surgery on his ankle, and a subsequent staph infection of that area, sapped him of years of playing time.

With his playing days finally concluding in 2013, after a successful comeback to the NBA (though he was nowhere near the same guy), Hill briefly worked for NBA TV as an analyst, but later became a partner in a group that purchased the Atlanta Hawks.
