Shawn Kemp was a six-time NBA All-Star, and one of the most gifted “dunk artists” in the history of the NBA. Alongside Gary Payton, Kemp was part of Seattle’s “Sonic Boom” team that dominated much of the mid-1990’s. But after issues with money derailed his career in Seattle, and issues with substance abuse derailed the remainder of his NBA career, Kemp was out of the NBA in 2003.

His issues appeared to stay with him even after he retired, as Kemp has already had two separate run-ins with law enforcement. His name has recently popped up, in a good way, as he’s been active in helping the seven children he had with six different women.
