During his playing days, former UNLV star Larry Johnson made some serious money as a member of the Charlotte Hornets and the New York Knicks, and also struck gold with an iconic endorsement deal with Converse, where he dressed up as “Grandmama.”

If it weren’t for a back injury that plagued much of the latter part of his career, Johnson might’ve been able to build, even more, on the 12-year, $84 million contract he signed with the Charlotte Hornets; that was the richest deal in NBA history at the time.
