It’s hard to believe, but Shannon Brown was the last Michigan State first round pick before Adreian Payne, a full eight year Sparty gap. We can’t exactly blame Brown for that.

He was the number 25 pick and bounced around the league for the better part of a decade, and you probably remember him being better than he was because he spent some of that time playing next to LeBron James and Kobe Bryant.
Brown was super athletic but didn’t bring much else to the table, bouncing through eight NBA teams in nine seasons before finally washing out.
