The Kentucky Wildcats made history in 2012, becoming the first school ever to see two players selected first and second in the same NBA draft, a feat Duke may challenge in a few months. The first pick, of course, was Anthony Davis. The Charlotte Bobcats had the best odds at number one but slid to second and took Michael Kidd-Gilchrist as their consolation prize. Ouch.

MKG was supposed to be a defensive wing, and that he was, but he’s never found enough offense to merit his high draft pick or subsequent contract extension. He can’t shoot to save his life, with just seven threes made his first six seasons, and simply doesn’t fit the modern NBA.
