The University of Kansas has a long and storied basketball history. Its history is arguably longer and more storied than any program, considering Kansas can claim James Naismith, the inventor of the game of basketball. Kansas also has ties to some of the game’s all time coaching greats, including Phog Allen, Adolph Rupp, Dean Smith, Gregg Popovich, Roy Williams, and John Calipari. All those great coaches coached a lot of great teams, and those great teams saw many players drafted into the NBA.

Unfortunately, Kansas draft picks have not always had the same long and storied history in the NBA. Time and again, a Kansas Jayhawk entered the NBA with pedigree and hope only to turn into a bust.
