Kyrie Irving
It was never any secret that Kyrie Irving was going to be a “shoot early, shoot now, and shoot later”-type of point guard. But few people realized just how moody he would be off the court. First, he chafed at a future in Cleveland that wouldn’t be nearly as enjoyable after LeBron James would inevitably leave. That led to him demanding a trade, which resulted in him being sent to the Boston Celtics.
In just his second season with Boston, he alienated the locker room so much so that the team basically self-destructed, to the point where Irving’s departure from Boston was actually celebrated by Boston sports fans.
Where Are They Now: Irving and fellow NBA superstar Kevin Durant hatched a plan to leave their respective teams in the summer of 2019, and join one of the New York franchises — which obviously was the Brooklyn Nets. But after both stars were sidelined due to injuries, leading to the team struggling to win games, many believe that Irving’s malfeasance would rear its ugly head again, in the form of forcing the front office to fire Head Coach Kenny Atkinson.
