Dennis Rodman
As the extraordinarily introverted Dennis Rodman began taking on this alter-ego of “rebel bad boy,” that’s when the friction he created with teammates would begin to really manifest.
He famously challenged David Robinson’s toughness in San Antonio, and after being traded to Chicago, would constantly test the patience of Phil Jackson and Michael Jordan. After a while, the Bulls knew that the only thing they could do was get their best from Rodman on the floor each night, and hope he didn’t self-destruct between games.
Where Are They Now: There are few things that could serve as the capstone for the strangeness that is Dennis Rodman than his diplomatic forays with North Korea. First making the trip to the rogue nation in 2013 as part of a basketball goodwill effort, he has made multiple trips back to the country, to the point where many political analysts speculated that Rodman could be serving as a “back channel communicator” between President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
