In the working world, it would make sense that the “most valuable employee” would be the highest-paid player in a given organization. That’s why CEO’s make more money than your standard midlevel employee. After all, which one is more valuable, and which one is more replaceable?
However, the same rules don’t always apply in the National Basketball Association (NBA), that’s not always the case. Sure, the megastars get paid commensurate to their superstar status, but what about the teams that don’t have a household name? That’s when you see more “interesting” names appear at the top of that team’s payroll.
That’s what motivated us to come up with a list of the highest-paid player on each NBA team, and rank their salaries from #30 to #1.
