The famous 1980 American parody film is known for everything from it’s fast-paced slapstick comedy to it’s totally obscure humor to the fact that it actually features Kareem Adbul-Jabbar as a co-star. In general, “Airplane!” is considered by most film buffs as a top 10 comedy of all time.

The famous wordplay exchange between Ted Striker (played by Robert Hays) and Dr. Rumack (played by Leslie Nielson) that goes: “Surely you can’t be serious” / “I am serious. And don’t call me Shirley” remains one of the most iconic exchanges in all of comedy film history.
