The backup quarterback for the New York Giants who had the misfortune of following guys like Phil Simms and Jeff Hostetler, Dave Brown failed to tally a winning record in three of his first four seasons as a starter for the Giants, leading the once-proud franchise that dominated in the 1980’s to wander around the NFL wilderness in the 1990’s. During his six seasons in New York, Brown never threw for more than 12 touchdowns in any year.
