Brown was desperate to get out of Pittsburgh, but now his job is to raise the level of one of the worst teams in the NFL last season. Remember, Amari Cooper didn’t make much of an impact in Oakland during the early part of last season, so what makes Brown think he’ll be any different?

To be fair, the Raiders added a few more pieces over the off-season in addition to trading for Brown. But their defense has a long way to go and the Raiders will likely be starting a rookie at running back. No one else on the roster is going to get as much attention from opposing defenses as Brown, so it’s critical that he adjusts to his new team and new quarterback Derek Carr quickly so he can hit the ground running in Oakland.
