New York Jets: Le’Veon Bell
By sitting out last season and getting his big contract over the off-season, people will be expecting a lot from Bell in 2019. Normally, all of the attention and pressure would be on second-year quarterback Sam Darnold. To some extent, that’s true, but with the way everything played out last year, Bell has invited the pressure of being a franchise-changing player.
Also, we can’t forget that the Jets are lacking elite wide receivers. That means Bell is undoubtedly their best offensive skill player. He’ll be getting as many touches as possible, especially since the Jets can’t put the turnover-prone Darnold in must-pass situations. Of course, Bell getting a lot of touches is rarely a bad thing. But if he has any rust from his year off and doesn’t have a great season, the Jets probably aren’t going to have a great season either.
