Oakland Raiders: Pass Rush
Jon Gruden and company had a lot of problems to fix after last season’s disaster, and the pass rush remains the biggest concern. Even after spending a 1st-round pick on defensive end Clelin Ferrell, the Raiders can’t feel too confident after they accumulated just 13 sacks last season.
As good as Ferrell might be, he’s not going to be able to fix that problem all by himself. They need more out of Johnathan Hankins on the interior and second-year player Arden Key on the edge. If rookie Maxx Crosby could contribute a few sacks, that would be a big help as well. If the Oakland pass rush can’t make major strides this season, it’ll leave the rest of the defense exposed and make it difficult for the Raiders to improve their win total by more than a couple of games.
