Ken Dorsey (Miami)
You can easily argue that the 2001 Miami Hurricanes was not only the greatest singular collection of talent on a college football team but also the greatest college football team of all time outright. While Ken Dorsey might not have been the highly touted draft pick that some of his teammates were, you simply can’t overlook the fact that he led the Hurricanes to a 38-2 record as a starter in 2001 and 2002, and was a two-time Heisman Trophy finalist. In three seasons as the team’s starting quarterback, Dorsey threw for 76 touchdown passes.
The 49ers took a chance on him in the 7th Round of the 2003 Draft and started 13 games over the next six seasons with San Francisco and Cleveland. Unfortunately, he finished his career with eight touchdown passes and 18 interceptions. Dorsey also spent time in the CFL before going into coaching and scouting.
