Cincinnati Bengals: Carson Palmer, Chad Ocho Cinco
People sometimes forget how good Palmer was early in his career with the Bengals. He probably looks even better in retrospect with the Andy Dalton era sputtering. A big part of Palmer’s success was having a receiver like the artist formerly known as Chad Johnson.
Obviously, things didn’t end particularly well for Ocho Cinco in Cincinnati or anywhere else. But he was at his best when Palmer was throwing him the ball. At the same time, Palmer was great in part because Ocho Cinco could make spectacular plays. The duo reached their peak between 2005 and 2007 when they were one of the best tandems in the NFL.
