Houston Texans: Matt Schaub, Andre Johnson
Before there was DeAndre Hopkins, the Texans had Andre Johnson. At least for now, he’s still the best receiver in franchise history. It didn’t matter who was playing quarterback, Johnson was going to catch the ball and make a play.
Ultimately, Schaub just had the fortune of being Houston’s primary starter while Johnson was in the prime of his career. All three times that Johnson had over 1,500 yards receiving, Schaub was the quarterback. It might have happened with someone else throwing the ball, but it just so happened to be Schaub all those years.
