There weren’t a ton of great options for the Lions with regard to great quarterback and receiver combinations. But let’s be honest, this was always going to be the choice. They may not have won that many games together, but Stafford and Johnson were a pleasure to watch.

The two were almost made to play with one another. Stafford is a gunslinger with the arm strength to make just about every throw imaginable. Meanwhile, Johnson was an athletic freak capable of making catches that were previously unimaginable. Even in a losing effort, Stafford and Johnson knew how to put on a show.
