He might’ve been the overlooked member on teams featuring Elton Brand and then Jason Williams, but Shane Battier was the do-everything, cerebral assassin which really made Duke University so difficult to beat when he was there. In addition to helping get Duke to two Final Four appearances and a National Championship, Battier was the college player of the year in 2001.

That year, he was selected with the 6th overall pick in the NBA Draft, and while his 15-year NBA career did span four teams, he did win two NBA Championships after LeBron James took his talents to South Beach, teaming up with Battier on the Miami Heat.
