Todd Fuller
To fans of the Golden State Warriors, the name “Todd Fuller” will always live in infamy. For the fact that Fuller was taken with the 11th pick in the 1996 NBA Draft. Two selections later, a fellow by the name of Kobe Bryant was picked. So, if you’re keeping score: the Warriors passed on Bryant, and took Fuller instead. In the aftermath of the dismantling of “Run TMC” — featuring Tim Hardaway, Mitch Richmond and Chris Mullin — and the trading away of Chris Webber, Fuller was supposed to be one of the Warriors’ “building blocks of the future.”
Fuller’s rookie season was just as miserable, as he averaged 4.1 points and 3.3 rebounds per game in only 12.7 minutes of playing time on average. After only two seasons, the Warriors had apparently seen enough, trading away Fuller to the Utah Jazz for a measly 2nd round pick. He only lasted one season with the Jazz, before bouncing around to two more teams — the Charlotte Hornets and Miami Heat — along with another seven more teams overseas.
